Researchers

Chris Dayton is a Senior Researcher at TSM. Chris is a junior studying Government and International Relations at George Mason University. His research focuses on geolocation and analysis of Taiwanese military and civilian infrastructure, as well as visualizing the data using maps.


Giuseppe DiStefano is a Senior Researcher at TSM. He is a junior at George Mason University studying Government and International Politics. Giuseppe’s research bridges together mapping and analysis.


Lauren Hobson is a Senior Researcher at TSM. Lauren is currently an undergraduate student studying International Security and Law at George Mason University. Lauren’s work on the project focuses on mapping points of interest in the Indo-Pacific.


Joseph Krasnowski is a Senior Researcher at TSM. He is an undergraduate student studying International Security & Law at George Mason University. Joseph focuses on mapping the Cross-Strait military balance and research on drone warfare.


Nishok Chitvel is an Associate Researcher at TSM. Nishok graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in Government and International Politics. He previously focused on analysis related to Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines. Nishok currently does graphic design for the project.


Graham Coughlan is an Associate Researcher at TSM. Graham is a second-year student majoring in Government & International Politics with a minor in Philosophy & Law. Graham serves on both the Analysis Team and the Leadership Index Team, focusing on the development of a database to track key figures.


Gabriella Hoover is an Associate Researcher at TSM. She is a Junior majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in East Asia. Her current work on the Analysis Team focuses on political and military development of Taiwan in response to the evolving Indo-Pacific.


Nathan Stolzenfeld is an Associate Researcher at TSM. Nathan is a Senior International Security and Law major at George Mason University. Their focus is on disarmament and they are currently writing an honors thesis critiquing current structures of power in international relations. Nathan’s work on the project focuses on the Korean Peninsula.


Ian Struble is an Associate Researcher at TSM. Currently a junior, Ian studies Government and International Politics with a Minor in Data Analysis. Ian’s research is focused on Korean and Taiwanese infrastructure identification.


Olivianna Watkins is an Associate Researcher at TSM. She is an undergraduate student studying government and international relations at George Mason University. Olivianna’s research focuses on the Philippines political and military relationships with the PRC and ROC and leadership analysis of different actors in the Indo-Pacific.


Reed Bishop is a Junior Researcher at TSM. She is a third year undergraduate and first year graduate student studying International Security and Law with a minor in Intelligence. Reed’s research focuses on analysis of U.S. policy and military movements in the Indo-Pacific region.


Sydney Boerner is a Junior Researcher at TSM. Sydney is an undergraduate student studying Government and International Politics, and Korean Language and Culture at George Mason University. Sydney’s research focuses on Vietnam’s political and economic relationships as they pertain the the US, PRC and ROC, as well as developments in Taiwan as they pertain to the greater East and Southeast region of Asia.


Sean Dilallo is a Junior Researcher at TSM. Sean is a graduating senior studying Government and International Politics. His research focuses on the use of drones by the PLA and Taiwan.

Alexandria Lasswell is a Junior Researcher at TSM. Alexandria is a Junior in International Security and Law and an accelerated masters student in Public Administration. Alexandria’s work focuses on analysis surrounding Oceania, as well as tracking arms sales.


Brennan Parker is a Junior Researcher at TSM. He is a sophomore double majoring in Government and International Politics and Foreign Languages with a concentration in Mandarin Chinese. Brennan’s research is focused on military infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific as well as urban defense in Taiwan.
