Joseph O’Connor

Joe O’Connor is a Fellow at TSM and is a Master’s candidate in International Security and Law at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, also holding a Bachelor of Arts in International Security and Law from the same. Previously a Research Team Lead and Assistant Director at TSM, Joe continues to collate and maintain the Taiwan Arms Backlog. While at Mason, Joe has researched critical civilian and military infrastructure in Taiwan, Japanese security policy in the Indo-Pacific, US arms sales to Taiwan, and US military policy in the Indo-Pacific.

Professionally, Joe has worked for the Global Terrorism Trends and Analysis Center (GTTAC) at George Mason, a project formerly funded by the U.S. Department of State focused on collecting incidents of terrorism. When not researching, Joe can be found watching his beloved Buffalo Bills, doing competitive trivia, or watching movies.
