The ROCA is demolishing three of the seven piers of Mingli Bridge in Hualien County’s Fuli Township on Oct. 20, as part of a combat engineering exercise overseen by Hualien Defense Command commander Lt. Gen. Chiu Chih-feng.
It is the Army’s third bridge demolition exercise of 2026, after Shanjin Bridge in Yunlin County in March and Xizhou No. 3 Bridge in Yilan County on Sept. 22.
